Our illustrated instruction guidebook concentrates on large muscle groups to improve overall body flexibility. A few helpful hints –
Stretch for shorter periods every day or a minimum of 10 to 20 minute sessions at least three times a week.Briefly warm up muscles for 5-10 minutes prior to stretching to prevent injury and increase effectiveness.Hold stretches for 15-60 seconds, breathing normally. Rest for a moment, repeat three to four times.Stretch only to point of tension and ease up if any pain is felt.Stretch both sides of the body for balance and symmetry.
Avoid – Bouncing as it may tear or strain muscles which may lead to the scarring and tightening of tissue and muscles, resulting in soreness and decreased flexibility.
