We wanted a collar with revolutionary design and efficiency.

We were fed up with collars that were a hassle to use and inefficient during weight transitions – Clips should not slide down the bar, and latches should not injure your finger when you fight to snap them loose.

We sought to create a barbell collar that locked on without latches and required only one hand for easy on and off transitions without ever having to set the collar or weight down.

Optimized Engineering

The engineering design allows for single hand use due to an incredibly stable single frame.

The Speed Collar keeps plates and bumpers from sliding off, and easily detaches by a rolling motion to separate it from the bar due to a tapered inside design.

It only took us 94 prototypes to test and determine the optimized opening width, frame structure, and draft angle to find the perfect balance between grip and usability.

The Speed Collar is made of extremely durable polycarbonate and is nearly indestructible.

A collar is intended to keep weights from sliding. It doesn’t need to be complex with latches and levers. It just needs to work. The easier and quicker it does its job the better. The Speed Collar is more efficient to use than anything out there.

Tips to Use the Speed Collar

How to Hold

Hold the Speed Collar with the rubber face on the inside, toward the weight, and magnets on the outside, away from the bumper.

How to Put On

Press the collar on to the barbell by pressing through your fist, like you’re punching it onto the bar. A straight elbow allows for easier application.

How to Take Off

Roll the collar away from the weight down the length of the bar to take it off. If you pull straight up the collar’s tight grip may lift the whole bar.

SINGLE HAND USE – No difficult latches or locking mechanisms that take two hands to operate. Functions as advertised only on 2 inch barbells.
CONVENIENT – Magnets allow for storage on the side of any squat rack. Keep the collar on the back of your hand with the T-handle while you change weights. No need to find a place to set the collar down.
